Community Guidelines
Spotter's social features are friends-only, but they still involve other people. These are the rules, and what to do when someone breaks them.
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spotter, with or without an account. Spotter is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using Spotter, contact support@spotterlifts.com so we can review the concern.
What isn't allowed
These rules apply to everything other people can see: usernames, display names, workout and exercise names you share, cheers, challenges, packs and invitations.
- Slurs and hate. Attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Harassment and threats. Bullying, intimidation, threats of violence, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves, including encouragement of disordered eating or dangerous training.
- Sexual content or abuse. Sexually explicit content, unwanted sexual attention, and any sexual content involving minors.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, an organization, or Spotter staff, including usernames and display names that imply you speak for Spotter.
- Spam and prohibited solicitation. Unsolicited promotion, selling or soliciting anything through Spotter, and repeated unwanted invitations, challenges or nudges.
- Cheating the leagues. Logging workouts you didn't do, or otherwise gaming weekly leagues, challenges or packs.
Spotter checks the names you make public. If a name isn't allowed, the app asks you to choose a different one; your private workout log is never changed.
How to report
Open the ellipsis (…) menu on a person, a shared workout, or a challenge, and choose Report. You can report a user, a workout, or a challenge from wherever you see them: your friends list, requests, search results, an invite preview, a feed card, a workout's detail screen, league standings, and challenge and pack screens. Tapping a person anywhere opens their sheet with the same menu.
Tell us what's wrong; you can quote the content, even if it contains words that would otherwise be filtered. We won't identify you to the person you reported.
How to block
Choose Block from the same menu. A blocked person can't contact or interact with you in Spotter: no requests, invitations, feed activity, cheers, training-now status, challenges or joint sessions. Blocking never deletes anyone's private training history.
Your blocked list lives in Privacy & sharing, reachable from Settings and from your account sheet. You can unblock someone there; unblocking does not add them back as a friend.
What happens after a report
We review reports promptly and prioritize threats, harassment and other serious abuse. Reports are confidential. Content that breaks these guidelines may be hidden from other users, and accounts that break them may be suspended or removed.
